WHAT IS HAIR ON SET


HAIR ON SET IS AN INDEPENDENT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM CREATED BY THE AWARD-WINNING COLORIST ERICA KEELEN AND INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER DARYNA BARYKINA. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO GUIDE STYLISTS THROUGH THE ENTIRE CREATIVE PROCESS, BEGINNING WITH AN IDEA AND ENDING WITH THE FINAL IMAGE; TO HELP STYLISTS DEVELOP CRITICAL THINKING, ADAPT PREPARATION ROUTINE THAT WILL GET THEM READY TO CREATE COMPETITION ENTRIES, EDITORIAL WORK AND HAIRSTYLING COLLECTIONS.

 WHO IS ERICA KEELEN

​

Erica Keelen is a freelance stylist and educator working in Jacksonville Beach, Fl.  With 20 years under her belt, she remains eager to further her education by gaining experience with new and upcoming products, trends and techniques in hairdressing. In addition to working behind the chair and mentoring apprentices, Erica has a genuine passion for editorial hairstyling, building collections and sharing this passion and experience with others.  She was a semifinalist in both Goldwell’s Color Zoom 2014 and NAHA’s “Hair Color” 2015 competition, won Pravana’s “Show Us Your Vivids” contest in the fall 2015.  She also won the Oribe’s 2015 “Front Row” Instagram contest.  Her work has been published in many industry magazines.

WHO IS DARYNA BARYKINA


​Daryna Barykina is an internationally published beauty photographer with the emphasis on hair. Clients seek her out for creative direction, elegant lighting concepts, use of color and high-end retouching. Among Daryna's clients there are brands such as Matrix Global, Pravana, Framar International, Aveda Institute, ColorTrak, etc. Her photography is published in Estetica Italia, Modern Salon, American Salon, Salon today, Behind the Chair on paper, Hair's How, and many others. ND Magazine titled Daryna as an advertising photographer of the year 2015.
